In the immersive world of Avowed, players frequently stumble upon Treasure Maps. These maps can be discovered during explorations of the Living Lands, although they are quite rare. Alternatively, players have the option to purchase them from various merchants. One notable example is the Treasure Map – Intimidating Feline Codpiece, which can be acquired from a merchant stall located near the docks.
Once you obtain a treasure map, it is added to the Journal tab, accompanied by an illustration and a brief narrative background. To uncover the treasure indicated on the map, players must decipher the location depicted in the drawing.

Upon reaching Dawnshore within the Living Lands, players will encounter Kai, who becomes the first companion on their journey. From Claviger’s Landing Beacon, proceed north toward the merchant stalls to speak with Lynna.
Access her wares and scroll through her offerings until you find the Treasure Map – Intimidating Feline Codpiece. This map features a drawing of a concealed cave entrance, along with a backstory: a husband had acquired the armor prior to his passing, leading his wife to discard it due to the associated painful memories.

To uncover the treasure hinted at in the Treasure Map – Intimidating Feline Codpiece, head to God’s Gate Beacon, situated west of Yellowband Camp within the Southern Embrace region. Travel eastward around the camp to find your way to The Rise. Here, continue north and ascend the rocks to discover a hidden pathway on your right.

As you follow the hidden path, you’ll eventually encounter a barrier of woods obstructing the entrance. At this juncture, you’ll find yourself close to Watcher’s Manor, positioned just north of Yellowband Camp. Using a weapon in Avowed, break through the planks and open the chest inside to successfully complete the side quest associated with the Treasure Map – Intimidating Feline Codpiece.

Completing this quest rewards the Envoy with valuable items, including currency and the unique Stelgaer’s Pride +2 medium armor. Although classified as common quality, it allows for future upgrades and enhancements. The armor possesses several beneficial attributes:

It’s important to note that the Stelgaer’s Pride +2 armor does not come with any associated leg or arm pieces, meaning players must gather materials, purchase, or craft to enhance this unique armor further.
