Avowed Quest Guide: Mastering the Boundaries of Antiquity

Solace Keep, a significant area within Galawain’s Tusks, is home to numerous NPCs who provide engaging quests for players in Avowed. Among these characters is Chief Engineer Gabral, who seeks assistance with a peculiar problem: the water supply has an unusual taste. He has dispatched a team to the ancient Godless Aqueduct for repairs but has lost contact with them. This predicament sets in motion the Boundaries of Antiquity quest.

Upon accepting the Boundaries of Antiquity quest, players must navigate to the Slumbering Fields to locate the missing team. During this journey, you’ll encounter a massive lava lake that obstructs your path. Equip the Eye of Rymrgand or any freezing spell to solidify the lava and create a bridge.

Crossing the now-frozen lava will lead you to the Slumbering Fields, where you will meet the Weeping Willow Delemgan, who has captured Raluka, one of Gabral’s members. In exchange for Raluka’s freedom, the Weeping Willow will request a favor from the Envoy.

Players must investigate a mysterious presence that appears to have stirred within the fields. After entering the Slumbering Fields, you will face several Sporeling adversaries. Choose to confront them for experience and loot, or use the Shadowing Beyond ability to sneak past unnoticed.

Regardless of your approach, navigate through the crumbled pillars to reach the Ekidan Workshop. Burn the vines on the upper right wall to access a crawlspace, and continue along the path until you encounter a statue representing the presence spoke of by the Weeping Willow.

This presence reveals itself to be the goddess Woedica. Engage in a dialogue involving yourself, Sapadal, and her. Once the conversation concludes, return to the Weeping Willow to update her on the situation.

Should You Eliminate the Delemgan in the Boundaries of Antiquity Quest?

Should You Kill the Delemgan Avowed

After assisting the Weeping Willow in restoring water supplies, she warns Raluka to avoid the Slumbering Fields. The Delemgan proposes that Raluka and her people gather water where the waterway ends, but Raluka protests, insisting on her right to access the fields and fresh water.

Following a private discussion with Raluka, players will face a choice: you may opt to either eliminate the Delemgan or persuade Raluka to consider a compromise. Should you attack the Delemgan, prepare for a relatively easy boss battle. However, be aware that defeating the Delemgan does not yield significant rewards, so it may be wiser to pursue a non-violent solution.

Clear Out the Aqueduct

Regardless of your chosen path, Raluka will request the Envoy’s help in clearing out the aqueduct, a task that concludes the Boundaries of Antiquity quest in Avowed. Head toward the designated mission marker, ensuring to **burn away the vines** obstructing your progress.

Upon arriving at the edge of a small river to your right, take a leap of faith into the water to reach the opposite bank. From there, ascend the left hillside to clear out the aqueduct, where you will burn the invasive vines growing over the waterways using a firebomb or fire spell. Once the blockage is removed, return to Raluka to inform her of your completion of the task. This action culminates the Boundaries of Antiquity Quest in Avowed.
