However, obtaining this gameplay feature requires players to complete specific God Totem quests, each tailored to different regions. In the Emerald Stair area, the quest titled “Totem of Defiance”involves collecting various totem fragments, including the Effigy Necklace. This guide outlines the steps needed to acquire this crucial totem fragment within the region.
Where to Locate the Effigy Necklace Totem Fragment in Avowed
The Effigy Necklace Totem Fragment can be discovered within the Naku Tedek Grounds, situated in the heart of the Emerald Stair region. This notable landmark is explored during the Ancient Soil main quest and is conveniently located west of Maxim’s Claim and southwest of Fior Mes Iverno.
Entering the Naku Tedek Grounds
Upon arriving at Naku Tedek, enter the main structure to begin the search for the elusive totem fragment. Inside the Naku Tedek Grounds, follow the hallway that leads to a dim abyss featuring crumbling spiral staircases. Exercise caution when descending into the pit, as falls from significant heights can inflict devastating damage on your character.
Finding the Effigy Necklace Within Naku Tedek Grounds
At the bottom, players will see two pathways diverging left and right. You should take the left path, which will lead to a locked door accompanied by an Essence Generator. To gain access, utilize either an Electric Lily Seed or cast a power spell to energize the Essence Generator, unlocking the door ahead. As you step inside, look for a pool on the right with a massive tree branch extending towards a higher platform.
Equipping the Effigy Necklace and Its Gameplay Effects
To navigate the pool, employ the Eye of Rymrgand or Ice spells to freeze the water, allowing you to traverse it and ascend via the tree branch. Once you’ve reached the elevated platform, examine the table to your right to claim the Effigy Necklace Totem Fragment.
Following this, return to your camp and place the Effigy Necklace onto the Schemer’s Offering Totem Base to activate its powerful effects. This totem provides a significant combat advantage by allowing you to reflect 20% of the damage taken back to your opponent within a 10-second timeframe, and it synergizes effectively with Retribution spells.
