During your adventures through the bustling merchant stalls of Paradis in Avowed, you’ll come across a character named Sapiento. This alchemist, deeply engrossed in his thoughts, is on a quest to brew a potion aimed at rejuvenating devastated ecosystems affected by the Dreamscourge. However, his endeavor is hampered by a key ingredient—luminous adra.
Despite his requests for assistance, Sapiento’s messengers fail to deliver, and their ship has sunk under mysterious circumstances. Distressed, they have resorted to scavenging adra from the Vailian Trading Company, inciting the wrath of Captain Bardatto. As an Envoy, it falls upon you to unravel this predicament and assist Sapiento.
Should You Give The Adra To Sapiento Or Captain Bardatto In Avowed

As you engage with the inhabitants of Paradis and track down the group Sapiento dispatched for the adra, you discover that their vessel has met with disaster. Consequently, they appropriated the luminous adra from the Vailian Trading Company, further complicating their situation with Captain Bardatto, who is now seeking retribution.
Should You Give The Adra To Sapiento In Avowed?

If you choose to deny Captain Bardatto access to the adra, be prepared for her attempt to seize it by force. She will command her crew and a formidable bear to confront you and your allies. Overcoming this force will require strategic combat to defend Trevik and his team successfully.
Afterward, return to Sapiento to deliver the adra. You will witness his excitement as he receives the precious substance. Sapiento rewards your efforts with The Fantastic Alembic, a unique trinket that grants the ability to eliminate status effects when consuming any potion. With renewed determination, he returns to his lab to work on a potential cure, igniting hope for recovery.
Should You Give The Adra To Captain Bardatto In Avowed?

On the other hand, if you opt to hand over the luminous adra to Captain Bardatto, you may negotiate terms to ensure Trevik and his companions are safe from her intentions. While Bardatto will express her satisfaction, she may not offer you any tangible reward unless you engage in further negotiation.
However, if you inform Sapiento that the adra is no longer in your possession, it profoundly saddens him. His aspirations to produce a healing potion will remain unfulfilled, leaving him to question whether his cure was ever achievable. This path also leaves you without rewards, as your choice prioritizes the lives of your comrades over the alchemist’s ambitions.
