Stepping into the daunting landscapes of Emerald Stairs after the vibrant ambiance of Dawnshore can feel like a striking culture shock. However, with this new territory comes an array of exciting treasure hunts and side quests, one of which is the elusive Earthly Aegis treasure.
For those eager for immediate rewards rather than exploration, this guide will outline the Earthly Aegis treasure map, its location, and the associated rewards available in Avowed.
Treasure Map Location
Among the various treasure maps I’ve encountered, the Earthly Aegis treasure map stands out as the most cleverly concealed.
In contrast to openly accessible maps like the Intimidating Feline Codpiece, which can be acquired from merchants, the Earthly Aegis map is hidden within a chest in a peculiar doorless house situated in Naku Tedek Grounds.
For those wanting to unlock this treasure map, follow this route starting from the party camp located in the Naku Tedek Grounds:
- Head south until you arrive at a tent area.
- Continue along the path, and on your right, you will notice a hole in the wall of a house.
- Leap onto the tree branch and jump into the wall hole.
- Inside, you’ll find a chest that contains the Earthly Aegis treasure map.
Earthly Aegis Treasure Location
Like the treasure map itself, the treasure is quite well hidden. Below is a detailed guide laid out in steps for clarity. Let’s embark on our journey from the Rock Arch Beacon:
- From Rock Arch Beacon, proceed north and ascend the hill towards Plateau Junction Beacon. Be wary of enemies lurking along the path.
- At the beacon, continue on the path leading southward up the hill.
- Upon reaching the hilltop, a large, ruined structure will be in sight, resembling the decaying trunk of a massive tree.
- Approach this building, and you will notice a tree root winding around its back.
- Clamber onto the root and traverse until you reach its end.
- From this point, you’ll see a coffin that holds the treasure, accompanied by a switch for interaction.
- Activate the switch to unveil the hidden entrance.
- Enter the house and seize the treasure within.
Exercise caution in the Delemgan Glade area, as it is home to formidable foes. It’s advisable to prepare adequately and bring the right companions along for this adventure.
Treasure Hunt Rewards

The reward for completing the Earthly Aegis treasure hunt is a unique shield named Nature’s Ward.
This shield comes pre-upgraded to +2 Fine Quality and features two invaluable perks: Spiked Brambles, which inflicts damage on foes when blocking their melee attacks, and Purging, offering a 50% chance to eliminate the Poisoning status effect.
These bonuses are incredibly beneficial, especially considering that acquiring the Poisoning status is quite frequent in the challenging Emerald Stair region.
- +56 Block Efficiency
- +20 Stability
- +180 Parry Efficiency
- +25 Elemental Resistance
