As the main quest “An Untimely End”progresses, players must determine Ygwulf’s fate after he reveals his motivations during your encounter. Ygwulf’s actions stem from a desire to bring justice to the oppressed people of Paradis, who have suffered at the hands of the Steel Garrote—a militaristic group led by the Inquisitor from Aedyr.

In a surreal experience, Ygwulf claimed to have seen the Envoy in a significant dream, interpreting it as an omen, which ultimately influenced his decision to attempt the assassination. This revelation leads to the pivotal choice: spare Ygwulf or eliminate him.
