As adventurers traverse the treacherous volcanic landscapes of Galawain’s Tusks, they will stumble upon a haunting Lost Village, igniting the engaging Chorus of the Lost quest in Avowed. This side quest stands out due to its emotionally charged narrative, unraveling the poignant backstory of Marius as players meet one of his afflicted companions. The quest culminates in a critical confrontation with Razvan, an ominous sorcerer responsible for Marius’ suffering.
Initiating the Chorus of the Lost Quest in Avowed

To embark on the Chorus of the Lost quest, players must have Marius in their party and interact with Iancu. The Lost Village, located in the northeast corner of Galawain’s Tusks, is where the quest begins. Upon entering, players will encounter Iancu, a childhood friend of Marius, who, despite being afflicted with Dreamthrall, holds some memories of their past.
During their conversation, Iancu reveals a chilling truth: Razvan, the architect of the villagers’ demise, is still alive. To track him down, players must collect Razvan’s Key from Iancu and search his hut. Interacting with Razvan’s Journal within will further advance the quest and also provides an opportunity to loot a chest for valuable crafting materials.
Navigating to Razvan’s Domain

Upon leaving Razvan’s Hut with the journal in hand, take the path to the left that leads to a stone bridge. Here, players will face off against a formidable Blight Boss named Mizuravul. This battle can be challenging, particularly for those with lower-level gear.
Defeating Mizuravul unlocks a colossal stone door that Marius will enchant with a phrase, causing it to shimmer and reveal the lava tunnels leading to Razvan’s domain.
Continue through the winding lava caverns until you reach an area where you can climb some rocks. Ahead, a small entryway into the next section leads directly to Razvan. Before engaging him, players should explore the adjacent room to acquire Battletrance, a unique mace weapon.

The Dilemma: Kill or Spare Razvan?

Upon confronting Razvan, players learn that he harbors no remorse for his misdeeds and steadfastly believes in his actions. This pivotal moment leaves players with a significant choice: to kill Razvan or to spare him. Notably, the outcome of this choice primarily impacts Marius.
If the choice is made to eliminate Razvan, a boss battle ensues. Although his health pool is limited, his strategy often involves summoning phantoms, which can complicate the encounter. Despite triumphing over Razvan, Marius expresses disappointment, revealing that the act of vengeance did not bring him solace.
Conversely, choosing to spare Razvan allows Marius to find peace in the decision, appreciating the mercy shown.
Regardless of the path taken, players should return to Iancu to discuss the outcome of the encounter, marking the completion of the Chorus of the Lost quest in Avowed.
