Austyn Stancil Stuns with a Triple Steal
“I paired you up knowing one of you would definitely get stolen. It’s inevitable!” Gwen remarked.
Both Austyn and Jose captivated the audience and coaches alike with their powerful rendition of Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down.”
After their performance, excitement bubbled as Bublé, Snoop, and Reba expressed their eagerness to steal one of the talented singers. Reba reassured Gwen that she wouldn’t regret her choice, no matter who she decided to keep.
Gwen expressed her sorrow over the difficult decision to pit two of her most remarkable contestants against each other, ultimately choosing to advance Jose in the competition. She explained her reasoning:
“Choosing was incredibly hard. I had to go with Jose because of his dynamics and the range of his voice. I want to see more of what he can achieve.”
This left Austyn without a team, leading host Carson Daly to announce he was up for a steal. In a snap decision, Coach Reba hit her steal button, followed closely by Snoop and Bublé.
Each coach passionately pitched their case for why Austyn should join their team. Reba highlighted:
“Austyn, you have to be on my team! I adore your shirt and your confidence was incredible when you blew kisses on stage. All these qualities make you a performer I would love to coach.”
Snoop shared that he had tried to recruit Stancil from the beginning but didn’t succeed, and he didn’t want to be disappointed again. He noted:
“Gwen showed you a lot of different things. I want to take you back to your soulful roots. Now that she’s shown you what’s possible, I can help you reach your potential.”
Bublé praised Stancil, saying he filled the stage “with so much love.”He emphasized his desire to help Austyn connect even more deeply with his audience, adding:
“You have that magic. I’d love to support you as you evolve into the star you’re destined to be.”
