Attack on Titan Creator Announces Upcoming Manga Release with an Unbelievable Title

After completing his acclaimed series, Attack on Titan, author Hajime Isayama expressed uncertainty about pursuing another manga. Fortunately for devoted fans, that sentiment has shifted. Isayama is poised to unveil his first new project since 2021, in collaboration with voice actor Yuki Kaji, known for voicing Eren Yeager, and illustrated by the emerging talent, Noshigami Kai. This one-shot manga will celebrate Kaji’s impressive voice acting career and is part of the Soyogi Fractal project, which uses Kaji’s voice as an innovative instrument.

While initial reports about the collaboration caught fans off guard, the recently announced title of the one-shot raises even more eyebrows. The officially titled work, The Theory of a Malicious Man and AI – I’m an AI Who Gained Self-Awareness, Is Exploited by a Black Company, Becomes a V-Tuber as a Joke, Goes Viral Which Risks Humanity’s Extinction! But Well, I’m Just an AI, So What Do I Care!, is undeniably a mouthful and has sparked considerable interest within the community.

A Unique Title, But a Serious Approach

The attention-grabbing title of The Theory of a Malicious Man and AI ensures that it won’t be easily forgotten. Initially envisioned as a tribute, both Isayama and Kaji are dedicated to producing a thoughtfully crafted one-shot. Although the project has faced multiple delays as the creators meticulously developed the storyline and selected an artist, Noshigami Kai, a newcomer discovered through a contest, has been chosen for the illustrations.
