ASUS Unveils Powerful ROG Crosshair X870E APEX, ROG Maximus Z890 HERO BTF & New TUF B850 AMD BTF Motherboard

ASUS has introduced its premium ROG Crosshair X870E APEX motherboard along with innovative back-to-front (BTF) options tailored for Intel Z890 and AMD B850 platforms.

The launch of the latest BTF products marks a significant expansion in ASUS’s product lineup, emphasizing a streamlined ecosystem for enthusiasts. The connector-less designs of these BTF options not only improve aesthetics but also facilitate cleaner PC builds by hiding wiring from plain sight. ASUS remains the pioneer in implementing such designs within its latest offerings.

Among the recently unveiled products is the ROG Maximus Z890 Hero BTF, which features all connectors positioned on the back. This high-end motherboard is designed to maximize power delivery and connectivity, ensuring exceptional compatibility with the latest Intel Arrow Lake 200S processors. It supports cutting-edge components, including PCI-E 5.0 graphics cards, M.2 SSDs, and ultra-fast DDR5 memory.

Essentially an enhanced version of the existing ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 Hero, this new motherboard retains similar specifications and aesthetic elements. It is equipped with 22 SPS power stages and substantial heatsinks for both the VRM and chipset, optimizing it for Intel Arrow Lake users who value a pristine and organized build.

For AMD enthusiasts, ASUS has introduced the TUF Gaming B850-BTF Wi-Fi, another BTF platform designed for Ryzen 9000 processors. While this model is slightly less advanced than the X870/X870E, it still encompasses a suite of modern specifications. The TUF Gaming B850-BTF Wi-Fi continues the connector-less trend, placing most connections on the board’s rear for a tidy appearance.

This motherboard supports the latest AM5 socket for both Zen 4 and Zen 5 CPUs and is fully compatible with overclocking for both CPU and memory performance. It features PCI-E 5.0 x16 slots designed for the latest graphics cards and speedy M.2 slots for SSDs. While there has been no announcement regarding BTF options for AMD X870/X870E motherboards, the TUF Gaming B850-BTF Wi-Fi represents a compelling choice for both AMD Ryzen 9000X3D and standard Ryzen 9000 processors.
