ASUS Unveils Next-Gen ROG NUC Pre-Built System Featuring Intel Core Ultra 200H CPUs and NVIDIA RTX 50 Series GPUs

ASUS is preparing to unveil the next generation of its flagship NUC product, known as the ROG NUC gaming PC. This new iteration is expected to incorporate the latest “Arrow Lake-H”CPU from Intel, paired with NVIDIA’s upcoming high-performance discrete graphics card. While this model is likely to be referred to as the “15th generation” in the NUC lineup, the official naming convention has yet to be clarified.

Leaked images from well-known insider 孤城Hardware reveal some distinguishing features of the ROG NUC 2025 on Weibo, showcasing design changes from its predecessor. Notably, it includes an additional fan on the top, enhancing its cooling capabilities compared to the 2024 version. However, much of its external appearance remains consistent with previous models. Internally, the performance upgrade is significant, as the ROG NUC 2025 will utilize one of the new Core Ultra 200H processors.

It is anticipated that the ROG NUC 2025 will feature the flagship Core Ultra 9 285H, successor to the previous model’s Core Ultra 9 185H, which was part of the Meteor Lake series. The graphics unit will also see a significant upgrade, shifting from the RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 to potentially the RTX 5060 or RTX 5070, further enhancing its gaming capabilities.

Images from the leak also showcase the front panel, which is equipped with two USB Type-A ports, a USB Type-C port, an audio jack, and a power button. Notably, the Type-C port is a new inclusion absent in the 2024 model, though the card reader from the prior version has been removed in this update.

Internationally renowned for their compact design, the ROG NUC systems are smaller than the flagship ROG pre-built systems. This smaller form factor employs mobile platforms for both the motherboard and CPU, enabling ASUS to achieve top-tier performance in a limited space—further evidenced by the recent leaks.

While ASUS ROG pre-built systems are typically positioned at a premium price point, expectations for the ROG NUC 2025 should follow suit. The previous model, equipped with a Core Ultra 9 185H, 32 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD, and an RTX 4070, launched at approximately $2000 in China. Given the anticipated cost increase associated with the newer RTX 50 series GPUs, the price for the 2025 version could exceed this figure. Although specific release dates and availability remain unconfirmed, further announcements may be expected at CES 2025.
