At CES 2025, ASUS made headlines by launching its latest AMD-powered mini-PC, the ExpertCenter PN54. This innovative machine incorporates AMD’s “Krackan Point”APU, promising exceptional performance and efficiency.

ASUS continues to set the standard with its mini-PC offerings, blending high performance with advanced technology. The new ExpertCenter PN54 stands out as a compact device designed specifically around AMD’s cutting-edge Krackan Point architecture. This configuration ensures not just power, but also optimal energy efficiency, making it an excellent choice for various computing needs. Furthermore, the mini-PC is equipped with a generous array of connectivity options that enhance its functionality.
Examining its specifications, the ExpertCenter PN54 houses the Ryzen AI 7 350 APU, featuring an impressive 8-core/16-thread setup within the latest Zen 5 architecture. With an integrated Radeon 860M iGPU boasting eight RDNA 3.5 cores, users can expect solid graphical capabilities, allowing the device to handle both everyday and demanding computing tasks seamlessly, thanks to the architectural advancements associated with this SoC.
For memory and storage, this mini-PC is equipped with dual SODIMM slots that support DDR5-5600 RAM, allowing for configurations up to 64 GB. Additionally, the ExpertCenter PN54 features two M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4x4 SSD slots, giving users ample flexibility for storage expansion. A standout feature is its compatibility with Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC program, facilitated by a dedicated Copilot button and the integrated XDNA 2 NPU, which guarantees smooth edge AI functionality.
The mini-PC also boasts a host of additional features, including support for WiFi-7 and Bluetooth 5.4, alongside a versatile USB 4 Type C port capable of 100W Power Delivery. ASUS has incorporated SonicMaster’s 2W speakers as well, a rarity among compact devices, ensuring that audio quality is not compromised despite the mini-PC’s small footprint. Aesthetically, the ExpertCenter PN54 presents a sleek, minimalist design akin to NUC systems, devoid of flashy lighting or RGB embellishments.
