Upcoming Launch: ASUS’s Core Ultra 200H/HX and Ryzen AI Max+ 395 CPUs
With CES 2025 just around the corner, leaks are beginning to surface, offering a glimpse of the cutting-edge hardware from prominent PC manufacturers. Recently, we highlighted GEEKOM’s announcement regarding their mini PCs featuring the latest Core Ultra 200H and Qualcomm CPUs. Now, ASUS is gearing up to showcase its latest array of laptop models.
Renowned leaker @94G8LA has disclosed a detailed table outlining the specifications of ASUS’s forthcoming laptop lineup. Notably, this table encompasses information on both the processors and NVIDIA’s Blackwell laptop gaming GPUs, which are expected to trail behind their desktop counterparts in performance. The forthcoming ROG laptop models will offer various configurations, featuring everything from AMD Strix Halo APUs to Intel’s Core Ultra 200H and premium 200HX CPUs.
Among the intriguing models, the GZ302EA will utilize the Ryzen 9 HALO AI MAX+ 395. This impressive processor is a 16-core/32-thread chip equipped with a Radeon 8060S integrated GPU, boasting 40 compute units based on the RDNA 3.5 architecture. Other models in the lineup will be powered by the Core Ultra 9 285H, 285HX, 275HX, or older Zen 4-based Ryzen 9 7945HX/7940HX processors. All of these laptops will come equipped with the new RTX 50 series GPUs, including the RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, 5070, and even the 5060 and 5050 variants.
Notably, the inclusion of the RTX 5060 and 5050 in the upcoming launch is unexpected, as they may not debut until after CES—potentially one to two months post-launch, specifically for the RTX 5060. Beyond formidable core configurations, these laptops are set to impress with high-quality display options, including OLED 2K 240Hz panels, cutting-edge miniLED technology, and more affordable 1080p screens.

The RTX 5090 will offer 16 GB of GDDR7 memory, mirroring the RTX 4090’s specifications with only the memory type changing. Interestingly, the desktop variant of the RTX 5090 is expected to enhance this memory capacity significantly. Meanwhile, the RTX 5080 will also feature 16 GB VRAM, while the RTX 5070 Ti will provide 12 GB, and both the RTX 5070 and 5060 will come with 8 GB GDDR7 VRAM. The higher-end RTX 5070 and above are anticipated to have a thermal design power (TDP) ranging from 140W to 175W, in line with previous models.
While three of these captivating models are currently showcased on various retail websites with their respective prices, customers will need to wait for ASUS’s official release before making a purchase. The expectation is that these laptops will be formally unveiled at CES 2025, with shipments potentially commencing a short time later.
