The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU has achieved a remarkable overclocking feat of 3.5 GHz, thanks to the expertise of ASUS’s in-house overclocker, known as SAFEDISK.
GeForce RTX 5090 Sets Overclocking Records at 3.5 GHz Using ASUS’s XOC BIOS
Nearly a month post-launch, the availability of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 remains a hot topic among gaming enthusiasts. However, those who have managed to obtain this powerhouse are experiencing unprecedented performance levels in overclocking tests.

Using liquid nitrogen (LN2) cooling, SAFEDISK took the ASUS-branded NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card to impressive heights. The GPU reached a staggering core clock frequency of 3480 MHz, alongside a memory speed of 34 Gbps across the 512-bit bus interface. This performance translated into a series of record-breaking benchmark submissions, as detailed below:
- World Record (WR) in 3DMark Port Royal (43, 515)
- World Record (WR) in 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme (58, 393)
- World Record (WR) in Unigine Superposition 1080P Xtreme (34, 295)
- World Record (WR) in UNIGINE Superposition 8K (23, 311)
- Global First Place (GFP) in 3DMark Time Spy Extreme (28, 717)
- Global First Place (GFP) in GPUPI 32B (41sec, 673ms)

For comparison, we juxtaposed these extraordinary LN2 overclocking results with our own tests using a custom RTX 5090 graphics card.
