ASTRO BOT has captured the hearts of gamers since its debut, offering a delightful tribute to the rich legacy of PlayStation. As the sequel to Astro’s Playroom, players take on the role of ASTRO BOT, the charming character first introduced in The Playroom. Recently, both Sony Interactive Entertainment and Team ASOBI announced an exciting free update set to launch on December 12 at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET. This update promises to enhance the gaming experience with new content featuring an engaging level and the addition of new special bots to rescue.
To gain access to this winter update, players must first complete the game. Studio Director Nicolas Doucet hinted at the fun awaiting players without revealing too much: “Expect a joyful level embellished with shiny presents, plenty of jingle bells, and all-new special bots to expand your crew!”
While this update may not be as extensive as previous enhancements, it reflects Team ASOBI’s commitment to keeping the game lively, much to the delight of its dedicated fanbase. ASTRO BOT has been honored at numerous awards ceremonies, with five wins under its belt and seven nominations for the upcoming Game Awards, taking place on Friday.
Doucet reassured fans that this update is designed purely for enjoyment, devoid of any challenging hurdles that might frustrate players. “This winter update was crafted with every user in mind, aiming to create a delightful experience for both kids and adults. So, expect no hair-pulling challenges this time around! Our team thoroughly enjoyed developing this special treat, and we hope you enjoy it just as much,” he remarked.
