Exciting Updates for Astro Bot: New Challenge Levels Announced
Sony has officially revealed that fans of Astro Bot can look forward to five additional challenge levels, along with new VIP bots. These updates will be rolled out for free, commencing on February 13, 2025, and will be distributed one by one over several weeks.
First Level Released: Tick-Tock Shock
The journey starts with the launch of the first new level, titled Tick-Tock Shock, which has already made its debut in-game. This level was showcased during the PlayStation XP Tournament Final in London back in January 2025. While there were no previous announcements regarding its release, Team Asobi took to the PlayStation Blog to share news about the four upcoming additions.
Upcoming Level Rollout Schedule
Here’s a detailed list of the new challenge levels and their respective release dates:
- February 13, 2025: Tick-Tock Shock
- February 20, 2025: Thrust or Bust
- February 27, 2025: Cock-a-Doodle-Doom
- March 6, 2025: Hard to Bear
- March 13, 2025: Armored Hardcore
Accessing New Levels and Features
Players can expect each new level to roll out every Thursday at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET. To unlock these exciting challenges, participants must first complete the main game. Each level will introduce a unique Special Bot to collect; players will automatically acquire this bot upon finishing the corresponding level. Following the initial completion, these levels will transform into speedrun challenges, allowing players to compete for the best times on the global leaderboard.
Recent Enhancements and Game Availability
The addition of these challenging new levels marks the latest post-launch content for Astro Bot. In previous updates, Team Asobi introduced five speedrun levels in October 2024 and a festive Christmas-themed level in December 2024.
As a reminder, Astro Bot is currently available on the PS5, with a total of five new challenge levels to be added by March 13, 2025, giving players plenty of content to dive into.
