New Update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows Introduces New Game+ and Level Cap Increase

Ubisoft has just released Update 1.0.7 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, bringing exciting new features that fans have been eagerly anticipating. This latest patch introduces the New Game+ mode, allowing players to embark on a fresh playthrough after completing the game for the first time. This mode enables players to carry over all previously acquired skills, gear, allies, and hideout progress, enhancing replayability and engagement.

New Game+ Features

To initiate a New Game+ playthrough, players can simply navigate to the Memory Menu in the Animus after finishing Naoe’s, Yasuke’s, and Junjiro’s storylines. This experience is tailored for those looking to explore the game further while retaining their hard-earned assets.

Rewards for New Challenges

Upon successfully completing a New Game+ run, players will unlock the Whisper of Gold and Dragon’s Gold achievements. Additionally, they will be rewarded with two new weapons: a gold-plated Legendary Long Katana and a Legendary Katana, each distinguished by unique perks and engravings. As players undertake these new adventures, they’ll encounter increasingly formidable enemies that will test their Shinobi and Samurai skills.

Enhanced Gameplay Mechanics

This update also raises the maximum level from 60 to 80, presenting players with tougher opponents utilizing improved tactics and raised awareness. Furthermore, the Knowledge Rank system has been expanded to include levels 9 and 10, allowing players to unlock and refine a broader array of skills, passive abilities, and combat techniques.

Mastery Upgrades and New Forge Capabilities

Players can now upgrade Naoe and Yasuke’s passives and skills. This update grants one new rank for various nodes within their mastery skills and an additional ten ranks for all existing knowledge passives. The Forge has also seen enhancements, now capable of being upgraded to level 4, permitting players to elevate all weapons and gear to match the new level cap of 80.

New Achievements and Trophies

With the introduction of new levels and ranks, three additional achievements and trophies have been added for players to unlock:

  • Enjoy the Ride: Reach Level 80
  • Stars Unseen: Reach Knowledge Rank 10
  • Worth Its Wait: Acquire the Gold Katana and Gold Long Katana by completing the story in New Game+.

Upcoming Content

As part of the continuous support for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the Claws of Awaji DLC is set to launch on September 16, further expanding the game’s universe and offering new challenges for players.
