The DeskMini B860 features a custom motherboard built on the B860 chipset with an LGA 1851 socket, supporting Intel’s Core Ultra Series 2 processors rated at 65W. This configuration allows for the use of the efficient non-K Core Ultra 200S processors, which excel at delivering robust performance with lower energy consumption. Conversely, the DeskMini X600/USB4 utilizes the AM5 platform, equipped with a dedicated AMD X600 chipset motherboard capable of supporting Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 processors.

DeskMini B860 Connectivity

Both models share an identical exterior, housed within a compact 1.92L chassis measuring 155 x 155 x 80 mm. Each DeskMini unit is designed to accommodate low-profile coolers, offering up to 47mm of clearance. They support SODIMM and SO-DIMM DDR5 memory configurations, allowing for up to 128 GB across two DDR5-6400 or DDR5-5600 sticks. Storage options are plentiful, with the ability to include two SATA SSDs and two M.2 2280 SSDs, courtesy of motherboards featuring PCIe Gen 5.0 and Gen 4.0 capabilities.

Connectivity is robust in the DeskMini B860, which boasts two DisplayPort 1.4 connections that enable support for high resolutions and refresh rates. Additionally, it includes a single HDMI 2.1 port offering 4K@120Hz performance and a Thunderbolt 4 port for next-gen data speeds. The DeskMini X600/USB4, while similar in connectivity features, has one less DisplayPort 1.4.
