On Easter Sunday (March 31), Garry Kissick, the husband of golfer Ashleigh Barty, shared a glimpse of their son Hayden playing with toys.

Christians around the world celebrate Easter every year to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which occurred on the third day following his crucifixion.

Barty and Kissick got married in July 2022, only a few months after Barty retired from professional tennis in March. Their first child, Hayden, was born in July of the next year.

Kissick shared an Instagram update on Sunday featuring Hayden. In the photo, Hayden can be seen enjoying an Easter toy that was included in a special hamper filled with chocolates.

On June 24, 2019, she achieved the top spot in the WTA singles rankings for the first time and remained there for seven weeks. She reclaimed the position on September 9 of that year and maintained it for an additional 114 weeks.

Ashleigh Barty recently expressed that being a mother brings her more fulfillment than dominating the tennis courts and competing against opponents all over the globe.

During an interview with Body and Soul, Barty was asked about what she finds more fulfilling: being a mother or being the champion of Australia. In her answer, she promptly selected motherhood.

“Without a doubt, not even a comparison. Absolutely. There were plenty of times throughout my career when I thought training was hard or I had some tough days, but it just goes to a whole new level when you become a mum,”Barty said.

Barty mentioned that she had learned a lot about raising a baby from her two sisters and went on to say:

“I was very lucky to be able to watch my sisters raise their two kids. But it’s a completely different ball game when it’s your own child. It’s relentless – it’s 24/7 – but it’s so rewarding and, honestly, it’s the best thing that I’ve ever done. I think it’s incomparable to being an athlete.”

Ashleigh Barty is the youngest of three sisters, Sara and Ali, with whom she grew up.
