The much-anticipated sequel to the acclaimed Ashes of the Singularity, which debuted in 2016, has been officially confirmed. Developers Oxide Games and publisher Stardock Entertainment are reuniting for this exciting new installment.

Ashes of the Singularity II is currently in development, featuring a significantly expanded team compared to its predecessor. This update promises an expanded array of units and gameplay systems tailored for real-time strategy enthusiasts. Players can look forward to enhanced options for strategic gameplay, intricate base building mechanics, and refined AI that will provide challenging encounters.

In the words of Brad Wardell, CEO of Stardock Entertainment, “Ten years ago, we set a new, literal benchmark for RTS games with massive battles and groundbreaking technology. Set in the year 2031, Ashes of the Singularity II will include a fully-fledged single-player campaign along with cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes. This mix aims to deliver a rich and immersive gaming experience.

Moreover, this sequel introduces a third faction into the conflict: Humans. They will join the original factions, the Post-Human Coalition (PHC) and the Substrate.
