Yet, financial constraints during a recession in Mexico prompted him to pivot into entrepreneurship, launching his pet resort, which he designed using his architectural expertise. After establishing his business, Armando continued to work freelance in architecture while collaborating with a friend in a U.S.-based architecture firm.
