In the world of ARC Raiders, mastering the art of loot retrieval is essential for survival. Your ability to secure valuable items not only influences your game experience but also underlines the importance of knowing how to optimize your inventory, particularly your Safe Pocket space.
Understanding the Safe Pocket in ARC Raiders

Looting is a cornerstone of gameplay in ARC Raiders, making ample storage for your collected treasures vital during your explorations. Among the integral components of your inventory, the Safe Pocket plays a crucial role in safeguarding your most valuable finds.
The purpose of the Safe Pocket is to act as an insurance policy for your prized loot, ensuring that if you encounter danger while topside—be it from hostile players or fierce ARC machinery—you won’t face the heartache of returning to Speranza empty-handed.
Items stored in the Safe Pocket are immune to loss, making it imperative to select what to keep there strategically. As you typically have just one slot available, focus on high-value treasures or essential quest items that can save you time and effort during your adventures.
Expanding Your Safe Pocket Capacity in ARC Raiders

To increase your Safe Pocket space in ARC Raiders, many players might initially assume it’s a straightforward process similar to expanding Stash space through the Inventory menu using Coins. However, the method differs slightly for the Safe Pocket.
Your best course of action is to visit Lance, the Trader located in the clinic at Speranza. Here, you’ll discover various Augments for sale, and the one you’re specifically looking for is the Looting MK.2 Augment.
Besides boosting your Backpack capacity, this augment adds an additional slot to your Safe Pocket, granting you a total of two slots. To make this enhancement, you’ll need to have 6, 000 Coins and must be at least Level 7. If you haven’t hit that level yet, consider engaging in some effective leveling strategies to expedite your Raider’s climb.
Keep in mind, the Looting MK.2 Augment is a rare item that Lance stocks only occasionally, and frequently just one at a time. Should you manage to acquire it, use it judiciously, as just like any other item, the augments can be lost during your treks.
Additionally, if you have established a Gear Bench in your workshop—requiring 25 plastic parts and 30 fabric—you have the option to craft the necessary augments to enhance your Safe Pocket space. Experimenting with custom builds can significantly elevate your chances of enduring tough rounds, ensuring you return with as much treasure as possible.
