ARC Raiders Set for Release in October 2025
During the Summer Game Fest 2025, Embark Studios officially confirmed that their latest PvPvE third-person shooter, ARC Raiders, is scheduled to launch on October 30, 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms.
Community Hopes for a Surprise Release
Fans were particularly excited because Embark Studios had previously surprised players with a shadow drop of their earlier title, The Finals, at another showcase hosted by Geoff Keighley. This led many to speculate that ARC Raiders might follow suit and make an unexpected appearance today. Unfortunately, for those eager gamers, the release is slated for a few more months, and no surprise drop occurred.
Insights from the Tech Test
For those fortunate enough to participate in last month’s tech test, the feedback from Embark has been overwhelmingly positive. Aleksander Grøndal, the executive producer of ARC Raiders, commented on the successful testing phase, stating, “The tech test was the best rehearsal we could get, ahead of what’s shaping up as a big release this fall. It’s clear that players recognize the passion, effort, and craftsmanship that’s been poured into the making of ARC Raiders.”
Final Adjustments and Enhancements
Grøndal also highlighted the findings from the tech test, saying, “The test also honed in on concrete things we’re addressing in this last stretch of development.”He elaborated on some ongoing efforts, stating:
- Squashing remaining bugs and enhancing gameplay polish.
- Refining game balance and the player economy.
- Improving the onboarding experience for newcomers to the genre.
Grøndal emphasized that players can look forward to expanded content upon release, including additional locations, new adventures, and various discoveries awaiting exploration.
