The moment you activate that elevator to descend underground, you effectively place a target on your back. However, there is a way to navigate this dangerous environment discreetly and swiftly.
To achieve this, you will require a Raider Hatch Key, an item not as readily available as more common materials like Fabric, Plastic, and Metal. To assist you in finding and utilizing these keys efficiently, we’ve created a comprehensive guide.
How to Obtain Raider Hatch Keys
There are two primary methods to obtain a Raider Hatch Key: crafting or purchasing. The simplest option is to buy one directly from the Security Trader. For a hefty 9, 000 Coins, this trader can provide you with a key, which, while costly, can be a lifesaver if you’ve amassed a larger haul during your run.
It’s crucial to remember that you can only procure one Raider Hatch Key every 24 hours, making it essential to plan wisely and make your opportunity count.
If you wish to craft the key instead, you’ll need to set up a Utility Workbench within your workshop, requiring you to gather some Arc Alloys. This approach can be beneficial, as having multiple workbenches ready before an extraction run can save you time and hassle.
After establishing the bench, you will be able to craft a Raider Hatch Key, although doing so necessitates an Advanced Electrical Component and 3x Sensors. However, there’s a critical limitation: you must upgrade your Utility Workbench to level two to craft specific items.
Currently (as of the “Server Crash”phase), upgrading the workbench is not feasible, which means relying on purchase is your best bet. Despite this, you can still collect these materials during your gameplay to prepare ahead of the official game release.
Using Raider Hatch Keys Effectively
While acquiring these keys can be either an expensive or intricate process, utilizing them is straightforward. Simply ensure you have the Raider Hatch Key in your inventory before heading out. When you’re ready to extract, open your map.
You will notice several Raider Hatches marked on the map, typically located away from hotspots brimming with Arc activity. Set a waypoint towards one of these less-visited areas, journey there, and employ your key to summon the elevator.
Unless you encounter remarkably bad luck, you are unlikely to run into anyone on your way to the lift. However, be mindful that the elevator does not remain open indefinitely. Missing your chance inside means wasting your key, so act swiftly!
