Not All M6 MacBook Pro Models Will Feature OLED Technology

It’s important to note that the M6 MacBook Pro lineup will not be uniform. Insights gleaned from the unique identifier codes in macOS Tahoe reveal that the base 14-inch model carries the identifier J804. Conversely, models featuring the OLED display, touchscreen capabilities, and a more streamlined design are designated as K116.

This indicates that the standard 14-inch MacBook may not include touchscreen functionality and other upgrades, which could be a disappointment to some customers. Nevertheless, many users may find sufficient value in the standard chipset enhancements.
