Recent struggles faced by developers in integrating enhanced Siri features into older software versions have raised concerns about Apple’s ability to swiftly roll out new capabilities. The technology giant has announced yet another delay affecting several promised additions related to its generative AI initiatives, including a more personalized iteration of Siri. Marketing efforts surrounding the iPhone 16, which prominently featured these enhancements, have been compromised; advertisements meant to entice consumers into upgrading to the new models have been pulled in light of the delayed release.
Setback for Siri: Bella Ramsey and Anticipated 2026 Launch
In an intriguing observation, content creator Sam Kohl took to X to point out the absence of the Apple Intelligence feature from YouTube, suggesting that Apple retracted the promotional content after it had heavily emphasized the upgraded AI-driven Siri. This iteration is now expected to debut in 2026. The original advertisement featured actress Bella Ramsey, showcasing her utilizing the revamped voice assistant to accomplish tasks such as retrieving the name of a colleague from a month-old calendar appointment.
Siri adeptly provided Ramsey the relevant information, sending it directly to her iPhone via both email and messaging services. Interestingly, Bella Ramsey has appeared in other Apple advertisements that highlight functionalities such as email summarization and personalized memory videos, which remain available on YouTube. This suggests a continued potential for Apple to roll out these features to compatible devices. However, the commercial showcasing the upgraded Siri experience, initially released in September 2024, has now been set to private.
Apple ran this iPhone 16 ad in September 2024 showing off the new AI Siri that understands personal context.
It’s now March 2025, and they just delayed the feature until sometime within the next year.

Kohl further speculated that the delayed AI Siri features might be repositioned for marketing strategies surrounding the iPhone 17, similar to what was done with the iPhone 16. Such delays could affect Apple’s reputation for timely feature rollouts, and consumer patience may dwindle as they await improvements to the generative AI experience. For now, the focus remains on monitoring further developments that could enhance this innovative technology.
