Prior to its release in the United States, selected members of retail outlets received training sessions for Apple’s Vision Pro. The purpose was to educate them on how to effectively engage potential buyers and convince them to invest in the company’s mixed-reality headset, which starts at $3,499. This approach will also be implemented in international markets, beginning with France. According to a recent report, a small number of employees from Apple’s physical stores will be chosen to undergo training on the device.
Uncertainty Surrounding the Launch of Apple Vision Pro in International Markets
Despite previous statements from Apple CEO Tim Cook indicating a launch of the Vision Pro in China later this year, it remains unclear if the AR headset will also be available in other markets. However, evidence suggests that the Apple Vision Pro will eventually support 12 different languages. According to WatchGeneration, retail employees will soon undergo training on the head-mounted wearable, likely learning how to engage with customers in a similar manner as their U.S. counterparts.
Despite the lack of launch dates and pricing details in the report, we remain skeptical about this information. However, we are still open to the possibility and are willing to give the benefit of the doubt. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the Apple Vision Pro is expected to be released in markets outside of the U.S. before the start of WWDC 2024 on June 10. Considering that the U.S. may not be a significant market for Apple, expanding into other regions could potentially motivate the technology giant to continue working on future models that may attract a larger audience with its more affordable price point.
Based on initial estimations, it was projected that the shipments of Apple Vision Pro would reach 500,000 units by the end of 2024. However, according to Kuo’s latest forecast, this number could potentially increase to 800,000 units by the end of the same period, potentially due to the product’s launch in additional markets. Additionally, there are talks of a lower-cost version being released next year, which could further drive sales in various regions. Keep an eye out for further updates.
The news source, WatchGeneration, reported that Apple may train its French employees in the Vision Pro this summer.
