Apple Set to Unveil M5 iPad Pro, Vision Pro, and New MacBook Pro Models This Week

Apple is on the verge of unveiling its latest hardware innovations, with upcoming releases featuring its groundbreaking M5 silicon chip. Recent reports suggest that the company is set to introduce the eagerly awaited iPad Pro, Vision Pro, and MacBook Pro devices as early as this week, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing silicon evolution.

Upcoming Launch: M5 MacBook Pro and OLED iPad Pro Models This Week

In his latest Power On newsletter, tech expert Mark Gurman indicates that Apple is poised for a major product launch. The anticipated launch includes new versions of the MacBook Pro, Vision Pro, and iPad Pro, all powered by the innovative M5 chip, which is first expected to debut in the iPad Pro. Notably, an unboxing video purportedly showcasing the device has already emerged from a Russian YouTuber, generating excitement among fans.

Furthermore, the M5 chip is anticipated to be featured in the 14-inch MacBook Pro, maintaining Apple’s trend of offering the smaller model first access to new chip generations. While both the new iPad Pro and Vision Pro appear to be imminent, indications suggest that the release of the M5 MacBook Pro is also on the horizon.

Apple to launch M5 iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, Vision Pro this week
Apple’s upcoming M5 iPad Pro is expected to offer enhanced graphics performance, advanced AI capabilities, and extended battery life.

These new devices promise substantial advancements in performance along with improved energy efficiency, which will contribute to longer battery life. However, users should not expect significant design changes this year, as Apple plans more dramatic updates for future releases. The anticipated lineup includes:

  • M5 iPad Pro: Set to launch first, retaining the sleek design with enhanced graphics and an upgraded Neural Engine.
  • M5 MacBook Pro: This entry-level model will feature a 14-inch display with the same classic design but potentially improved battery performance.
  • M5 Vision Pro: Expected to maintain its current design while integrating upgraded internals for enhanced on-device AI functionalities.

M5 Pro and M5 Max Chips: What’s the Status?

As Apple keeps concrete details under wraps, the noticeable retail shortages of existing MacBook Pro and iPad Pro models hint that new replacements are imminent. Gurman’s assertion of an “imminent” release suggests that Apple may opt for a more understated announcement through press releases rather than a large-scale launch event.

Additionally, there are reports that the higher-end M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models will be postponed, likely until the first half of next year. This means that, for now, only the base variants of the M5 chip will be released, with more powerful iterations saved for future announcements.
