Historically, OLED technology has been a hallmark of Apple’s premium devices. However, according to Omdia’s roadmap, the company plans to diversify this cutting-edge display technology across more product lines. Potential future releases may include 11 and 13-inch iPad Air models featuring OLED displays as soon as 2027-2028.
MacBook Innovations: OLED and Beyond
Furthermore, the anticipated rollout of OLED panels could extend to 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models by 2026, potentially paving the way for a foldable MacBook around 2027-2028. Additionally, OLED technology is set to be integrated into 13.8 and 15.5-inch MacBook Air models by 2028.

According to the roadmap, Apple may complete its transition to OLED screens by 2030, thereby moving away from LCD technology entirely. While specifics about this device remain ambiguous, there’s speculation it could also embrace an OLED display.
