Since the unveiling of the iPhone 17 lineup, Apple has experienced considerable success, primarily driven by the remarkable features and enhanced storage options of the base iPhone 17. The introduction of the ultra-slim iPhone 17 Air, along with gradual improvements to the Pro and Pro Max models, has also piqued consumer interest.

This enthusiastic reception has resulted in Apple achieving its best third quarter performance to date, showcasing the brand’s resilience and dominance in the smartphone sector.

Omdia Reports Apple’s Best Third Quarter, iPhone Shipments Surge 4% Year-Over-Year

According to a recent publication from Omdia, a reputable research and intelligence firm, the global smartphone market witnessed a growth of 3% year-over-year in Q3 2025. This revival is attributed to various hardware advancements such as foldable devices, ultra-slim designs, vibrant colors, and innovative back-cover displays that have captivated consumers.

Omdia’s analysis highlights the significance of product portfolio segmentation, particularly emphasizing the standout performance of the iPhone 17 series. Furthermore, the revamped iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models are garnering substantial interest globally. Although the iPhone Air’s shipment numbers may be modest, its effective marketing strategies have proven to be successful, positioning Apple favorably for potential future innovations.
