As is customary, Apple usually releases new beta updates just a few days after providing the final build to the general public. However, after the release of iOS 17.4, macOS 14.4, and other updates, developers have had a month of inactivity. Finally, the company has now made the first beta versions of macOS 14.5, watchOS 10.5, tvOS 17.5, and visionOS 1.2 available to developers for testing on all supported devices.

Apple has made beta 1 of its upcoming macOS 14.5 update available to developers, and it can be obtained on compatible Macs through the System Settings’ Software Update section. To receive the update over the air, developers must link their Apple ID to their Developer Account. Currently, we are not aware of the alterations that will be included in the update.

In addition to macOS 15, Apple has made the first beta version of watchOS 10.5 available to developers. To access this beta, registered developers can go to the dedicated Apple Watch app on their iPhone and navigate to General > Software Update > Beta Updates > and install the latest watchOS 10.5 beta 1 on their compatible Apple Watch. It is important to ensure that your Apple Watch has at least 50 percent battery life and is connected to a charger during the installation process.
