Upcoming Launch: M4 Chip MacBook Air Models Expected in Early 2025
Recent reports suggest that Apple may soon introduce its M4 chip-powered MacBook Air models, potentially marking the company’s first major product launch of the first half of next year. In October, Apple rolled out updates for various products, including the MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac mini, all featuring the M4 chipset. The remaining devices to receive the upgrade are the MacBook Air, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro.
Details from Industry Insider Mark Gurman
Notable Apple analyst Mark Gurman from Bloomberg indicates that the new MacBook Air models could hit the market before other highly anticipated devices scheduled for release in early 2025. In a recent update shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Gurman revealed a lineup that includes entry-level iPads (codenamed J481 and J482), the eagerly awaited iPhone SE 4, a new iPad Air, an upgraded AirTag 2, as well as the M4 MacBook Air models.

Conversely, rumors surrounding an OLED MacBook Air suggest that this model will not be released until 2027, a shift from prior expectations.
Potential Upgrades for M4 MacBook Air
