Apple Introduces Refurbished iPhone 15 Models in Europe

In September, following the highly anticipated release of the iPhone 16 lineup—including the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max—Apple officially retired its iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models. The standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus remain available for purchase through Apple’s official platforms; however, the Pro variants have been taken off the shelves in many regions. Interestingly, customers in Europe still have the option to acquire the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max through official channels.

Launch of Refurbished iPhone 15 Models

This week marked a notable development as Apple has commenced the sale of refurbished iPhone 15 models across several European countries, including France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. This initiative represents the first occasion where Apple has provided refurbished iPhone models in Europe. These pre-owned devices come with attractive discounts off their original retail prices. For example, in France, the refurbished iPhone 15 with 128GB of storage is priced at €739.00, offering a savings of €130 compared to its original launch price of €869.

Future Availability of More Refurbished Models

Currently, the refurbishments are limited to the standard iPhone 15 model in the aforementioned countries. However, speculation suggests that the iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max may soon be added to the refurbished lineup, as they appear on the left sidebar of the site but are not yet clickable. Notably, all refurbished iPhone 15 models are sold unlocked and without contractual obligations, making them compatible with any mobile carrier.

Quality Assurance with Refurbished Purchases

According to Apple’s specifications, each refurbished device carries the same one-year warranty as a brand-new iPhone. Customers will also receive all pertinent manuals and accessories, a freshly installed battery, and a new outer shell, all packaged in a pristine white box. This ensures that refurbished models come remarkably close in quality to their unopened counterparts. Additionally, buyers have the option to enhance their warranty coverage further by purchasing AppleCare+ separately.

Apple’s introduction of refurbished iPhones in Europe not only offers significant savings but also provides consumers with environmentally friendly options. As the demand for refurbished electronics grows, it reflects a shift towards sustainability in technology consumption.
