Apple Launches Next-Generation CarPlay Ultra Rollout

Introducing CarPlay Ultra: The Next Evolution in Apple CarPlay

Apple has officially launched the much-anticipated next generation of CarPlay, now dubbed CarPlay Ultra. This innovative system, first unveiled at WWDC 2022, has finally begun its rollout, starting with the luxury vehicles of British automaker Aston Martin, following a series of delays over the past few years.

This next generation of CarPlay gives drivers a smarter, safer way to use their iPhone in the car, while deeply integrating with the car’s systems and showcasing the unique look and feel of each automaker. We are excited to kick off the rollout of CarPlay Ultra with Aston Martin — and this is just the beginning, with more automakers on the way.

Enhanced Integration and Customization Features

CarPlay Ultra significantly expands upon the features of the previous versions. Unlike its predecessors, this new system integrates more profoundly with the vehicle’s systems, allowing essential information to be displayed not only on the main infotainment screen but also on the driver’s instrument cluster. Additionally, iPhones can now showcase on-screen widgets, providing users with quick access to pertinent information effortlessly.
