Apple iPhone SE 4’s anticipated mass production schedule disclosed

The upcoming iPhone SE 4 is poised to be the next significant release from Apple, showcasing a complete redesign both aesthetically and internally compared to its earlier models. This new iteration is anticipated to borrow stylistic cues from the iPhone 14, while also making a notable switch from the traditional Touch ID to Face ID, nestled within a bathtub-style notch. Furthermore, the device is rumored to feature an enhanced single-camera arrangement, possibly a remarkable 48MP camera, similar to that of the iPhone 15.

Recently, reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo provided insights into Apple’s timeline for ramping up mass production of the iPhone SE 4, suggesting that the launch could be slated for early 2025, potentially around March. Kuo indicated that mass production is expected to commence in December 2024, with projections estimating that Apple’s suppliers will generate approximately 8.6 million iPhone SE 4 units between December 2024 and the first quarter of 2025.

The existing iPhone SE, which hit the market in 2022, makes the forthcoming iPhone SE 4 an appealing upgrade for those in search of a robust mid-range smartphone. Rumors suggest that the iPhone SE 4 will outperform the iPhone 15, equipped with the powerful A18 chipset and coupled with 8GB of RAM, meeting the minimum requirements to leverage Apple’s suite of AI functionalities. Notably, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus lack compatibility with these AI capabilities due to their inferior hardware.

Recently shared dummy models of the iPhone SE 4, including an unexpected ‘iPhone SE 4 Plus’, further validate the various leaks associated with this device, aside from the existence of the ‘Plus’ variant.
