Mark Gurman, in his Power On newsletter, highlighted the intention behind this upgrade, which includes the introduction of AI-powered web search capabilities. However, questions linger about user acceptance of an AI assistant influenced by Google technology and whether it can rehabilitate the Siri brand after years of mixed reviews.

In preparation for the imminent launch, Apple is reportedly financing Google to create a specialized Gemini-based model designed specifically to enhance Siri’s performance. While this model will operate on Apple’s private cloud servers, it will not inundate the Apple ecosystem with Google services or existing Gemini functionalities that are commonly found on Android devices.
