Apple Expands Vision Pro Headset Availability to Two New Countries

In February, Apple introduced its high-end mixed-reality headset, the Apple Vision Pro, to the US market. However, the excitement that followed the launch has since diminished, primarily due to its hefty price of $3,500 in the US, which has hindered its widespread adoption and discouraged developers from creating applications for visionOS.

As the buzz around the device dwindles, reports indicate that Apple has put a pause on further manufacturing of the Vision Pro. According to The Information, Apple currently possesses sufficient inventory to meet imminent demands. Despite this production slowdown, Apple remains committed to marketing the Vision Pro and has recently expanded its availability to two additional countries.

Following its launch in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the UK, and Singapore in June 2024, Apple announced that the headset will also be introduced in the UAE and South Korea. As stated by Greg Joswiak, Apple’s marketing chief, in a post on the social media platform X, the Vision Pro is set to arrive in these new markets on November 15, soon after the release of the new M4 Macs.

Pre-orders for the Vision Pro in the UAE and South Korea will kick off on November 4 at 5 AM local time. Additionally, Apple has set up a Vision Pro website on both the Kenya and UAE sites in advance of the official launch. With the addition of these two nations, the Apple Vision Pro will be accessible in 12 countries, maintaining its status as a niche product that may attract considerable sales, particularly in the UAE.
