In his latest Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s tech analyst Mark Gurman revealed that Apple is gearing up to introduce at least five innovative features leveraging satellite technology. Here’s a detailed look at what to expect:

Apple aims to transform its Maps application by integrating satellite connectivity, allowing users to navigate even in areas where traditional Wi-Fi and cellular signals are weak or unavailable.

4. Satellite-Enhanced Cellular 5G Broadband

The next-generation iPhones are expected to support Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) technology, which will utilize satellites to expand cellular network coverage.

5. Support for Third-Party Applications

In a move to diversify functionality, Apple is developing an API that enables third-party developers to incorporate satellite connectivity into their applications.
