For residents in Beijing, the discounts are accessible by visiting one of Apple’s eight physical stores. Conversely, consumers in Shanghai enjoy added convenience, as they can shop online via Apple’s official platform. According to reports from MacRumors, products priced below 6, 000 yuan (around $835) will receive a discount of 15%, capped at 500 yuan.
For higher-end products such as Macs, which often carry a significant price tag, the discounts will be notably larger. Historically, discounts were only feasible through third-party channels like JD.com, but this new approach allows Apple to leverage its platforms directly.
