Apple Could Skip Launching the Watch Ultra 3 at “It’s Glowtime” Event
Mark Gurman has released a series of updates today regarding the highly anticipated “It’s Glowtime”event, where Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 16 series alongside new AirPods. Furthermore, it is anticipated that a new version of the AirPods Max will also be introduced at this event, featuring enhanced noise cancellation and adaptive audio technology.
Initially, there were expectations for Apple to reveal the new Watch Ultra 3 at this launch event. However, recent updates from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman on the social media platform X indicate that Apple may not present the Watch Ultra 3 after all. Instead, it appears that the company might re-launch the Watch Ultra 2, now available in a new black color variant, as seen in FCC certification images from last year.
I don’t expect Apple to announce an Apple Watch Ultra 3 tomorrow. Instead, I expect the Ultra 2 sticks around and — finally — gains a black color option. I also wouldn’t rule out a delay to the new Watch SE.

Given this information, it seems likely that only the Apple Watch Series 10 will be launched today. Recent reports suggest that the Watch Series 10 may feature an upgraded ECG, improved water resistance, and new capabilities such as sleep apnea detection. These innovations were also anticipated for the Apple Watch Ultra 3.
However, with a credible source indicating the absence of the Watch Ultra 3 from the event, it remains uncertain if the existing Watch Ultra 2 will incorporate the sleep apnea detection feature as well.
Additionally, Gurman mentioned that he “wouldn’t rule out a delay to the new Watch SE.”This statement suggests that yet another product could be omitted from today’s lineup. The Watch SE was rumored to be constructed from plastic instead of aluminum, aiming to reduce manufacturing costs. This strategy would allow Apple to market the Watch SE as a more budget-friendly option tailored for children, positioning it as a viable alternative to traditional smartphones for younger audiences.
With only a few hours remaining until the “It’s Glowtime”event, anticipation builds for the unveiling of the iPhone 16 series, Apple Watch Series 10, the new AirPods, and potentially the revamped AirPods Max.
