The nature of Cook’s teaser has left many in the tech community buzzing with speculation. A leading contender for the upcoming release is the AirTag 2, as anticipated by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. He suggests this new iteration will boast notable enhancements, including a significantly expanded tracking range and a tamper-resistant speaker to improve both functionality and security.
The existing AirTag employs Precision Finding technology that operates within a range of 10 to 30 meters, contingent on environmental factors. However, Gurman claims that the upcoming model is expected to extend this range substantially, tripling it with the introduction of a next-generation ultrawide-band chip.
In addition to the AirTag 2, there are whispers within the industry about a new model of the iPhone SE. Gurman has indicated that the eagerly awaited fourth-generation iPhone SE might be revealed as soon as next week. The current iPhone SE 3, released in 2022, appears increasingly outdated compared to contemporary Android devices.
Rumored enhancements for the iPhone SE 4 draw inspiration from the iPhone 14 design, transitioning from Touch ID to Face ID. There’s also speculation regarding advanced Apple Intelligence features being included.
Furthermore, Gurman has mentioned possible announcements related to the Apple Vision Pro and the new MacBook Air equipped with the M4 chip, which is suggested to launch within the coming weeks.
Interestingly, the event being labeled as “Apple Launch” instead of the usual “Apple Event” has led many to theorize that more significant product reveals are on the horizon.
