Recently, Elon Musk expressed serious concerns regarding Apple, claiming that the tech giant engaged in what he terms an “unequivocal antitrust violation”concerning the App Store’s treatment of AI applications. In his remarks posted on X, Musk highlighted a perceived bias in favor of competitors like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, arguing that Apple consistently overlooks his platforms, including X and Grok, in its App Store promotional sections. Furthermore, he indicated that his company, xAI, may pursue “immediate legal action” against Apple in response to these claims.

Apple Responds to Musk’s Antitrust Claim, Emphasizing Commitment to Fairness in App Rankings

In a swift rebuttal, Apple released a statement through Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The company asserted that its rankings in the App Store are determined by a commitment to ensuring user safety and providing valuable visibility for developers.
