Apink Announces New Single Release Date April 19 for 14th Anniversary Celebration

Apink to Celebrate 14 Years with New Single Release

The renowned K-pop girl group Apink is poised to unveil a new single on April 19, aligning with the celebration of their 14th anniversary since their debut in 2011.

This exciting news was shared by their agency, Choi Creative Lab, on Wednesday, revealing that the upcoming song will showcase all five members: Park Cho-rong, Yoon Bo-mi, Jeong Eun-ji, Kim Nam-joo, and Oh Ha-young.

Tradition of Annual Releases

Continuing their cherished tradition, Apink has consistently released new music each year on their debut date. In 2024, the group marked their 13th anniversary with the single “Wait Me There“, which was composed by their leader, Cho-rong. This annual celebration of music publication commenced in 2015, starting with the track “If You Gesture.”After skipping a release in 2016, the group returned with “Always”(2017) and has since followed with “Miracle Story”(2018), “Everybody Ready?”(2019), “Thank You”(2021), and “Only I Know”(2022).

While details about the new single remain under wraps, it is set to be available on major music platforms at 6 p.m. KST on April 19.

Ongoing Influence in the K-pop Scene

Despite a continued absence of new songs, Apink has sustained a significant presence in the competitive K-pop landscape. In December 2024, they successfully hosted their seventh solo concert, “PINK CHRISTMAS, ”held in western Seoul, marking their first full-group performance in four years.

They further engaged fans throughout Asia with the “Pink New Year”tour, running from January 18 to March 7, 2025, which included performances in Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

A Brief History of Apink

Apink debuted with the extended play “Seven Springs of Apink”and the lead single “Mollayo”in April 2011, originally featuring seven members, including Na-eun and Hoo Yoo-kyung. In April 2013, Hong Yoo-kyung departed the group, citing her wish to focus on her studies. Later, in April 2022, Son Na-eun also left the group to pursue her acting career.
