In the meantime, Ajii’s performance of Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd left all three judges astounded by his vocal range and impressive control over his voice.
“We have never run across a class like this. Ajii, I don’t know where you came from, but you’re the motivator,”Lionel Richie told Ajii.
Next up was McKenna Faith Breinholt, who graced the stage with her cover of Adele’s When We Were Young. Her audition, in which she emotionally reunited with her birth parents, may still be fresh in the minds of fans. As her performance came to an end, Luke praised her, saying it was the best he’s heard all year. However, Katy expressed concern for her vocal cords.
