AMD Releases New Chipset Driver to Fix Blue Screens of Death on Windows 11 22H2 and More

The latest AMD chipset driver set for various platforms supporting Athlon, Ryzen, and Threadripper processors is here with release 4.11.15.342. It contains several fixes that address issues that cause Blue Screens of Death (BSOD) in the Windows 11 2022 Update (Initial support added August 2022) as well as previous versions of Windows.

The official changelog for AMD Ryzen chipset driver version 4.11.15.342 contains one modest “multi-driver bug fix”, but a more detailed driver list reveals more information about what’s now fixed:

Please note that the latest driver also has several known issues:

  • Sometimes custom installation does not update to the latest drivers.
  • Problems with text alignment can be observed in Russian.
  • After the installation is completed, a manual reboot of the system in an OS other than English is required.
  • The deletion summary log may incorrectly show the deletion status as failed on a non-English OS.
