AMD is gearing up to launch the “Navi 48 XTW”GPU, which is anticipated to be part of its upcoming workstation series, likely labeled as the Radeon PRO W9000 line.
AMD’s RDNA 4 Expansion into Workstation GPUs
The recent release of AMD’s Navi 48 GPU emphasized its performance capabilities, signaling a strategic shift away from the enthusiast GPU market with the introduction of RDNA 4 consumer models. Prior to the rollout of the Radeon RX 9070 series, many expected an XTX version of the Navi 48 to compete directly with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5090. Unfortunately, that variant was not launched. However, as reported by industry insider @AnhPhuH, the Navi 48 XTW is in development and will feature a robust 32 GB of VRAM.

While detailed specifications remain elusive, speculation suggests that the Navi 48 XTW could indeed belong to the Radeon PRO W9000 series, though concrete evidence of this lineup is limited at present. The anticipated 32 GB of memory, expected to be GDDR6, positions this GPU as a high-end option within the Navi 48 family, potentially leading in VRAM configuration.

Future Launches from AMD
For consumers, AMD is preparing to unveil the Radeon RX 9060 XT and the Radeon RX 9070 GRE, with an official announcement expected during Computex. As for the Navi 48 XTW workstation GPU, it’s likely that AMD will showcase this new model at either the Advancing AI event or Computex; however, the former event is a more suitable venue given its professional focus.
