AMD Achieves 40% Revenue Share in Server Segment and Record Desktop Performance in Q1 2025
According to recent insights from Mercury Research, AMD has celebrated impressive gains in both the server and desktop markets during the first quarter of 2025. These results underscore AMD’s sustained growth trajectory, particularly in the higher-performance segments.

Focusing first on the server segment, AMD’s unit share has surged to 27.2%, while its revenue share has reached an impressive 39.4%.This marks a quarterly increase of 1.5 and 3.1 percentage points, respectively, alongside a year-over-year advance of 3.6 and 6.5 percentage points. The remarkable revenue growth can be attributed to the distinguished performance of AMD’s Zen 4-based Genoa and Bergamo processor families, as well as the ongoing rollout of the Turin “Zen 5″architecture, which promises enhanced efficiency and performance for data centers.
- Server revenue share rose by 6.5 percentage points year-over-year and 3.1 percentage points quarter-over-quarter, achieving a record 39.4%.
- Client revenue share improved by 10.2 percentage points year-over-year and 2.7 percentage points quarter-over-quarter, reaching 26.5%.
