This APU not only provides cost-effective solutions for laptops but also delivers respectable integrated graphics performance, making it an appealing choice for users who prioritize value and efficiency.

As the release date for AMD’s budget-oriented Zen 5 mobile processors, known as Krackan Point, approaches, excitement continues to build. Although AMD has remained tight-lipped, a series of leaks have steadily confirmed the existence and specifications of these APUs. The latest revelation highlights the performance capabilities of one such model, the AMD Ryzen AI 7 350, showcasing its specifications through benchmarking data.

The AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 features an 8-core, 16-thread configuration built on the Zen 5 architecture. It stands out in its lineup thanks to a unique configuration of 4 Zen 5 cores paired with 4 Zen 5c cores, complemented by Radeon 860M integrated graphics. Recent benchmarks listed on PassMark indicate robust performance, with a base clock speed of 2.0 GHz and a remarkable boost frequency reaching up to 5.0 GHz.

It’s important to note that the AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 is not positioned to rival the premium Strix Point series, which targets high-end laptop users. This specific processor has also been spotted on an upcoming ASUS Vivobook laptop, set to debut following the Krackan Point launch.

Of particular interest is the integrated GPU performance, which remains to be fully assessed.

It’s feasible that its iGPU could be on par with the Radeon 780M from the last generation, especially since the newer Strix Point architecture incorporates more powerful graphics options such as the Radeon 880M and 890M. The AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 also maintains a Thermal Design Power (TDP) range of 15-45W, consistent with its predecessors. Notably, another variant within the Krackan Point series has been seen in Geekbench, featuring a 6-core, 12-thread configuration, hinting at a broader range of options for consumers.
