AMD has officially launched the Ryzen 5 9500F globally, introducing it alongside the newly added Ryzen 5 7400F and Ryzen 5 7400 CPUs. This move marks the expansion of AMD’s CPU lineup, particularly within the Ryzen 7000 series, which continues to grow despite the company’s shift towards the Ryzen 9000 series.
AMD’s New Releases: Ryzen 5 7400F, 7400 CPUs, and Global Availability of Ryzen 5 9500F
According to insights shared by @harukaze5719, two new CPUs—the Ryzen 5 7400 and Ryzen 5 7400F—are now part of the Ryzen 7000 series. This information was corroborated by their listing on Danawa, a popular price comparison site in South Korea. Both models are constructed using the advanced Zen 4 architecture.

The Ryzen 5 7400F, while lacking integrated graphics, boasts superior performance with a significantly higher boost clock speed compared to its Ryzen 5 7400 counterpart. Notably, the 7400F achieves a boost clock of 4.7 GHz, in contrast to the 4.3 GHz available in the 7400 model. Additionally, the base clock of the 7400F is 400 MHz faster, highlighting a remarkable performance gap.
- Ryzen 5 7400F: 6 cores / 12 threads, Base clock: 3.7 GHz, Boost clock: 4.7 GHz, L3 Cache: 32 MB, TDP: 65W, No Integrated Graphics (IGPU)
- Ryzen 5 7400: 6 cores / 12 threads, Base clock: 3.3 GHz, Boost clock: 4.3 GHz, L3 Cache: 16 MB (lower than F), TDP: 65W
Overall, the Ryzen 5 7400F emerges as a more formidable CPU, not only due to its superior clock speeds but also because of its larger L3 cache of 32 MB. In contrast, the Ryzen 5 7400 offers only 16 MB of cache, giving a distinct advantage to the 7400F in gaming and productivity tasks. However, the integrated graphics feature of the Ryzen 7400 remains a convenient option for users who may not require a dedicated GPU.

In terms of pricing, Danawa has listed the Ryzen 5 7400 at approximately 204, 590 won (around $147 USD).However, it is important to note that this processor will only be available through original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) or system integrators. The specific price for the Ryzen 5 7400F has yet to be disclosed.
As for the recently unveiled Ryzen 5 9500F, it has been made available for retail across global markets. It remains unknown whether South Korea will see the 9500F offered as a standalone product or if it will primarily be distributed through system integrators.
