This new processor, dubbed the Ryzen 5 7400, is set to be a variant of the 7400F but with the significant addition of integrated graphics. Typically, AMD’s ‘F’ series are aimed at the entry-level market, yet this upgrade includes an integrated GPU, catering to users who may not have the budget for a dedicated graphics card or those seeking enhanced versatility in their systems. The CPU’s product ID confirms it is distinct from the 7400F, which carries the identifier 100-000001845, while the Ryzen 5 7400 is listed as “100-000001900”.

The Ryzen 5 7400 maintains a thermal design power (TDP) of 65W, matching that of the Ryzen 5 7400F. Both CPUs share comparable specifications, featuring 6 cores and 12 threads, with a base clock speed of 3.7 GHz, maximum clock rate reaching 4.7 GHz, and an impressive 32 MB L3 cache. This forthcoming CPU will likewise utilize AMD’s advanced Zen 4 architecture and will be compatible with the AM5 socket.

Ryzen 7400F specs

Pricing for the Ryzen 5 7400 is anticipated to be slightly higher than that of the Ryzen 5 7400F, attributed to the inclusion of integrated graphics. The 7400F launched at a price of approximately $115 in China, and although it faces availability challenges, a similar price point is expected for North America and Europe. The Ryzen 5 7400 is likely to retail for an additional $10 to $20, bringing its expected cost to around $125-$135. This positioning makes it a compelling option in the Ryzen 7000 series for consumers eager to experience the latest AM5 platform. However, the precise release date remains unknown.
